Q: Do you have a tutorial?

Q: What programs do you use for drawing?
A: I mostly use PaintTool SAI but also Photoshop CS3.

Q: What tablet do you use?
A: I have a Wacom Intuos4.

Q: How/Where did you learn how to draw?
A: Never actually "learned". It's just that I fell in love with anime art at some point and started trying to draw in that style myself. Wasn't really into drawing before that. Joining deviantart was also very helpful to me, from that point on I started observing a lot of other people's art and analysing it, then practising myself.

Q: What brushes do you use?
A: Ink pen, soft brush, water colour tool. That's it.

Q: How long does it take you to complete a drawing?
A: It depends. Usually 2-3 days for a drawing or a comic while I'm spending 6-8 hours per day.

Q: How do you make clean outlines/lineart?
A: I work with very high resolution and re-size the picture at the very end. I also think SAI is the best program for clean outlines. [I never managed to make them clean in Photoshop without using the vector tool.] And a lot of patience;when a line comes out shaky, I just re-draw it until it's right even if that takes 10 tries. xD

Q: Do you use different layers for colouring or do you colour on one layer?
A: I use an extra layer for every single tiny thing. So I end up having many layers.

Q: How long have you been drawing?
A: Since 2004.

Q: How do you get your comic ideas?
A: I dunno;they jump at me. xD If I'm really into a fandom, I think A LOT about it and get those weird ideas lol; Sometimes a manga chapter or an episode gives me inspiration for a parody.

Q: Do you sketch out the entire form before adding the details?
A: That's how you're supposed to do it, I guess. But I do it the wrong way and draw the figures from head to feet without making a rough sketch with those circles and rectangles for body proportion like it's usually written in art books. And for example I sometimes add the details before I'm satisfied with the proportions and have to re-do the whole thing. Don't do it that way! xD

Q: Can you draw *insert character name here* for me? / Do you take requets?
A: I usually don't. I hardly have enough time to draw at all most of the times;
So, sorry but no.

Q: Do you take commissions?
A: No, right now I don't. There are two reasons:
1). I'm not confident at all about my drawings and style, I feel it wouldn't be right to take money for my art at my current level.
2). I take faaaaar too long to draw anything. It would be even worse with commissions, I'd be even more critical and would take 3 times longer. And in the end the time won't be worth the money, I guess.

Plus I'm a busy student! ^^

I might open commissions some time in the future though (when I hopefully improve + have more time).



FANDOM / ANIME / MANGA

Q: What was your very first anime/manga?
A: My very first anime was DragonballZ. And I was a crazy little Goku fangirl. ^^

Q: What got you into anime/manga?
A: When I started watching DragonballZ on TV. We didn't have a computer back then and I had to watch just what the TV offered to me. Before that I didn't know such awesomeness like anime even existed.

Q: What are your favourite anime/manga?
A: There a list on my profile page

Q: How did you get into yaoi?
A: It was when we got a computer and internet, I was 15 at that time and very much into Yu-Gi-Oh. I was innocently browsing for pretty pictures of that series when I stumbled on a yaoi site for the pairing YamixYugi. And I was all like "Awwww! Of course they love each other! How could I not have seen it before! They are so cute together!"; You see, the typical fangirl reaction. Then I started collecting fanarts and reading fanfiction on that pairing. That's the story of how I became a yaoi fan beyond redemption. xD


PERSONAL / ABOUT ME

Q: What are your hobbies other than drawing and anime/manga?
A: I love music. Playing the piano, singing and just listening to music. I also adore to read books and watch movies or going to the cinema.

Q: Where are you from?
A: Originally from Russia. My mother and I moved to Germany when I was 10.

Q: What are you secretly afraid of?
A: Eheheh... that somebody (aka. my mother) will find my HUGE collection of explicit yaoi doujinshi on my computer. *cough*

Q: Do you play any PC games / Nintendo / Playstation / whatever?
A: To my greatest shame I am really clueless about those. Never played them and I don't have Playstation or whatever you need for it. I would really like to try it though.

Q: Do you have facebook / play facebook games?
A: Erm...no.

Q: Are you on any other sites besides deviantart?
A: I have a tumblr, also have (inactive) accounts on y!Gallery and animexx That's all. Any other are not me, lol.
